Care & Maintenance

Help your customers keep outdoor furniture in better condition by matching the care routine to the material and local climate.

Your Climate Changes the Care Routine

If you sell into different countries, "outdoor use” can mean strong UV, salt air, frequent rain, freezing winters, or fine dust and sand. You can reduce avoidable wear and after-sales confusion when you give your customer care guidance that fits the environment.

Hot & Sunny Markets

Use shade or covers during long periods of non-use; clean sunscreen and oils promptly; store cushions when practical; inspect fabrics, rope, Textilene, and coatings for early wear.

Coastal & Salt-Air Markets

Rinse furniture periodically with fresh water; wipe metals dry; inspect scratches; clean stainless steel rather than assuming it is maintenance-free; prevent salt buildup around fasteners and joints.

Rainy & Humid Markets

Let cushions, rope, and covers dry fully; keep drainage points clear; avoid compressing wet cushions under covers; use ventilated storage; check for trapped moisture.

Cold & Snowy Markets

Clean and dry furniture before winter storage; store cushions dry; remove heavy snow; avoid trapped water freezing in joints or mechanisms; avoid harsh de-icing salts on furniture.

Dry, Dusty & Desert Markets

Remove loose sand before wiping; avoid dry rubbing across dusty finishes; clean moving parts regularly; cover fabrics when not in use; use mild cleaners.

Powder-Coated Aluminum

1. Powder-Coated Aluminum

Rinse loose dust, salt, or sand first. Wash with mild soap and water using a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals. Inspect scratches. Near the sea or pool, rinse more often. Keep extendable-table tracks free from grit.

Steel & Iron

2. Steel & Iron

Clean with mild soap and water, dry the frame, inspect welds and scratches, touch up damaged coating where appropriate, and avoid standing water. Use covered storage during long wet or winter periods.

Stainless Steel

3. Stainless Steel

Wash with mild soap and fresh water, rinse salt more frequently near the coast, avoid steel wool, and remove surface staining early. The correct grade and cleaning frequency both matter in chloride-heavy environments.

Textilene

4. Textilene

Rinse dust, chlorine splash, sunscreen, and salt residue regularly. Clean with mild soap and a soft sponge, focus on seams, air-dry the mesh, and avoid abrasive pads or sharp tools.

Outdoor Cushions & Fabrics

5. Outdoor Cushions & Fabrics

Brush off loose dirt, spot-clean spills early, use mild soap unless the fabric supplier says otherwise, dry both cover and foam completely, and store cushions dry during extended rain or off-season periods.

Tempered Glass

6. Tempered Glass

Remove grit before wiping, use mild soap or a suitable glass cleaner, dry to reduce mineral spots, protect the edges from impact, and avoid extreme thermal shock.

WPC / Polywood

7. WPC / Polywood

Remove debris first, wash with mild soap and water, use a soft brush on textured surfaces, avoid aggressive solvents, keep very hot objects away, and allow drainage and normal expansion around components.

600D Polyester Furniture Covers with PVC Coating

8. 600D Polyester Furniture Covers with PVC Coating

Brush off leaves and dirt, wipe with mild soap and water, avoid bleach, dry fully before folding, prevent long-term water pooling, check straps and fasteners, and store clean and dry.

Better Care Can Mean Better Business for You

If you tell us where your collection will be sold and how it will be used, we can help you think through material choices and care guidance before you finalize the project.
