If you sell into different countries, "outdoor use” can mean strong UV, salt air, frequent rain, freezing winters, or fine dust and sand. You can reduce avoidable wear and after-sales confusion when you give your customer care guidance that fits the environment.
1. Powder-Coated Aluminum
Rinse loose dust, salt, or sand first. Wash with mild soap and water using a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals. Inspect scratches. Near the sea or pool, rinse more often. Keep extendable-table tracks free from grit.
2. Steel & Iron
Clean with mild soap and water, dry the frame, inspect welds and scratches, touch up damaged coating where appropriate, and avoid standing water. Use covered storage during long wet or winter periods.
3. Stainless Steel
Wash with mild soap and fresh water, rinse salt more frequently near the coast, avoid steel wool, and remove surface staining early. The correct grade and cleaning frequency both matter in chloride-heavy environments.
4. Textilene
Rinse dust, chlorine splash, sunscreen, and salt residue regularly. Clean with mild soap and a soft sponge, focus on seams, air-dry the mesh, and avoid abrasive pads or sharp tools.
5. Outdoor Cushions & Fabrics
Brush off loose dirt, spot-clean spills early, use mild soap unless the fabric supplier says otherwise, dry both cover and foam completely, and store cushions dry during extended rain or off-season periods.
6. Tempered Glass
Remove grit before wiping, use mild soap or a suitable glass cleaner, dry to reduce mineral spots, protect the edges from impact, and avoid extreme thermal shock.
7. WPC / Polywood
Remove debris first, wash with mild soap and water, use a soft brush on textured surfaces, avoid aggressive solvents, keep very hot objects away, and allow drainage and normal expansion around components.
